Multi-Company Accounting

In some cases, you may wish to track multiple different business segments or companies in StreamV.  This section discusses the various options that are available in the system for handling multiple business segments or multiple legal entities.

For this discussion we will define a business segment as a logical or geographic portion of a single legal entity.  Examples might be the Purchasing , Sales or Manufacturing Departments, the East Coast and West Coast Regions, etc.  Transactions between business segments (which are part of the same legal entity ) are referred to as IntraCompany transactions.
