The Print Shop Orders program can be used to print a single shop order or a range of shop orders. The report outputs detailed information about each selected shop order. This information includes the shop order number, the item and description of the item being built, the quantity being built, and the components and component quantities that are included in the shop order. The Shop Order document also outputs any Inventory Shop Order, BOM or Shop Order Comments that are associated with the selected shop order.
The Shop Order document produced by the Print Shop Orders report can be printed one or multiple times and it is not used during shop order processing by the system. The Shop Order report is just a convenient way to print the information for the selected shop order.
The Print Shop Order Program can be executed from inside the Shop Order Entry program using the Print Option, and the program can also be selected from the Shop Order Menu.
In the Shop Order Entry program, the Print Shop Order program is used to print a copy of a single shop order. When you select a valid shop order in the Shop Order program and press the Print Button, the system prompts you with the shop order document to be printed. At this point you can select the Shop Order option and the system will print a copy of the selected shop order to the printer that has been defined for the report/program/operator combination. This printer is defined using a system parameter.
When the Print Shop Order report is selected from the Menu, system activates the Report Front End program. The Report Front End is the standard report interface in most of the current character mode system. The Report Front End displays the Master Template and any other templates for the report that have been created on the system. Report Templates are sets of selection criteria for a specific report. Each report normally includes a Master Template (the complete or default set of selections). User and Site Specific templates can also be set up for most report front end programs.
Once you have selected the appropriate report template, the system displays the selections that are available in the Template.
You may then specify the selections you wish to use for the report and press the Save key.
