54,30,V,

This record is used for field level access security. The record controls access to specific fields in all VDF programs where the field can be accessed for editing.  The fields to be restricted should be entered on separate lines in the Text portion of the Textdata record in the format of FILE#,FIELD#,CODE

where the code can be set to N (no access) or V (view only access).  If the field is not specified in the record, or the code field is left blank, the field will not be restricted.  Note:  The format of the lines is important – make sure you have 3 commas for all records.  Please see the Security Application Note for more information about field level security options.
