Software Testing, Release, and Installation Procedures
This document provides a brief overview of how application software, database, and related data updates are tested, released and installed by Cove Systems. The actual testing methods and procedures used will vary based on the type of changes being implemented.
In general Cove uses a "White Box" approach to application testing - meaning that the tester and the developer work together to identify, implement and test software and other changes, and that the tester has access to the source code, internal data structures and other algorithms used by the system. This allows specific test suites to be developed based on the changes being implemented, and for the tester to view and evaluate code and behavioral changes to the application.
