Tagged Serial Numbers

The Tagged Serial Numbers option is used to identify the serial numbers that should be processed by the Pending Management program when a transaction is being processed for a serialized inventory item.

The Tagged Serial Numbers option can only be used on an open pending record for a serialized item, and the option should be selected after setting the To Clear quantity (the quantity to be processed) in the Pending Management program.

When an open pending record for a serialized item is highlighted, the To Clear Quantity is specified (by tagging the record or setting the quantity manually), and the Tagged Serial Numbers option is selected, the system activates the Serial Number List.

The Serial Number List is used to identify the serial numbers to be processed by the Pending Management program.  When the program is activated, it will display the item and the quantity of serial numbers needed for the selected line in the top section of the program.

The middle section of the program (which displays the selected serial number or numbers) will be blank.

Once the program is activated, you may use the Find Serial# button to display and select from the serial numbers that are associated with the selected pending record.

When the Find Serial# Button is pressed, the system activates the Serial Invoice Item Lookup (which displays the serial numbers associated with the Pending record).  Once the Serial Invoice Item Lookup is displayed you may select the serial numbers to be processed by highlighting each serial number and pressing the Select Button.  This action will return the selected serial number to the Serial Number List.  Once the correct number of unique serial numbers are displayed in the Serial Number List, you may press the Accept button to return to the Pending Management program.

Please Note: The Serial Number List program is part of the Serialized Inventory system and it is completely described in the documentation for that system.  You may obtain more information about the program by activating it and using the Help key to display the main documentation for the program.
