Track Shipment Button

The Track Shipment Button allows you to track the shipments that have been sent out of your system for carriers who support online shipment tracking (such as UPS, Airborne, and FEDEX).

When the Track Shipment Button is pressed, the system determines the shipper company associated with the selected manifest record.  The system then locates a system control record in the Textdata file which stores the URL used by the shipper for online shipment tracking.  The system then passes the appropriate internet address and shipment tracking number to your internet browser so that the browser can display the tracking information available from the shipper.
