Comment Button - View Shop Order Comments

The Comment Button that is located on the Standard Toolbar in the Shop Order Lines Lookup program can be used to view or edit any existing shop order comments for the selected shop order and shop order line.  The Comment Button can also be used to create a new shop order comment for the selected shop order header and or line item.  A Shop Order Comment is a comment that is specific to a shop order (i.e. a specific instance of building the item), and this comment type is associated only with that specific shop order.

When the Comment Button is pressed in the Shop Order Lines Lookup program, the system displays the Comment Detail Panel and it loads the panel with any existing comments for the shop order header and the selected shop order line item.  The Header comment is displayed in the top section of the Comment Detail Panel and the Line Item comment is displayed in the lower section of the panel.  Once the Comment Detail Panel is displayed, you may view, edit or create a comment for the shop order or shop order line (or both).

Please Note:  Your ability to view, edit or create certain types of comment records can be restricted based on system security and parameter settings.
