Shop Orders can be entered into the system for items that you build for stock. When you enter this type of shop order and complete it, the completed items are allocated to any sales or shop order lines that require the product and that are in the current scheduling window.
Shop Orders can also be created and pointed to a specific sales order line item. When this option is used, the system will try to allocate the top level item to the specific sales order line that was specified in the shop order when the shop order is completed. The system will allocate to this line as long as the line is not flagged as printed, and as long as the line still needs inventory.
