Ecommerce – Default Product Image Setup

The Stream V Ecommerce system supports the display of product images. The system expects the first image record associated to the catalog item number to be a .jpg image file. If an image record does not exist for the catalog item, the system can be configured to display a default image.

The default image is set in the TextData file 240 in the type WEB, code DEFAULT, id IMAGE. The parameter supports displaying an image file on the local webserver or a file located on a remote webserver. See screenshot below:

 

The screenshot below shows a partial page from the Stream Ecommerce system with four items displayed from the product catalog. The first two items did not have image records defined in the catalog.
