The windows that are located underneath the item description are used to display the current inventory quantities for the selected inventory item and the quantity of the item that is available to allocate to sales or shop order lines. These fields are briefly described below.
QTY OH: The current on hand quantity for the item.
Alloc: The quantity of the item that is already allocated to open and backordered sales order lines and open shop order lines.
Safe Stk: The safety stock quantity that has been defined for the item. The system will not automatically allocate the safety stock quantity for an item. Your ability to allocate the safety stock quantity for the item (whether the safety stock is considered to be available when you are allocating inventory) can also be restricted using system parameters. The prompt button that is located next to the Safe Stock field can be used to view the safety stock records that have been entered for the item (if the quantity is greater than 0).
Available: The amount of the item that is not already allocated to sales or shop order lines and that is not reserved as safety stock. This amount is normally the total amount that is available to be allocated for the item.
Qty Rsv: The total quantity the item that is required to fill open and backordered sales orders (Type L or Type S) and open shop orders that are in the current scheduling window for the item. Note that the reserved number does not include any open vendor shipment sales orders and it will include only the allocated quantity for any open special order sales order lines. See the allocation overview for more information.
Tot Rsv: The total quantity of the item that is required to fill open and backordered sales orders (Type L and S) and open shop orders for the item – regardless of when the orders are scheduled to be shipped or pulled into production.
Qty Wip: The total quantity of the item that is currently in production (the amount of the item that has been pulled on open and not yet completed shop orders).
