View Inventory Record

The View Inventory Record option – which is accessed using the More Menu, allows you to view the detailed information that is stored for the selected item in the Inventory Master file.  When the View Inventory record option is selected, the system activates the Inventory Detail Program and it loads the program with the inventory or warehouse record associated with the selected shop order line item.  Your ability to view and edit the information that is maintained for the item in the Inventory file is limited based on the security options that have been set for the program and based on the inventory normalization settings on your system.  In general, you may only edit the fields that are maintained at the inventory item level (based on the normalization settings), and only the fields that are not blocked based on your security settings
