Batch Allocation

The batch allocation process, which is normally run as part of nightly processing, checks all inventory items in a specific location against the open sales order and shop order lines for the item.   The process may be run for one location or all locations.

This process also checks each item to make sure that it is not required to complete the allocation of a kit.  As the result of checking for the allocation of an item to a kit multiple items may be allocated to multiple sales orders (see technical notes on allocation at the end of this document).
