The Manual Allocation Program allows you to over-ride the automatic allocation that has been performed by the system.
The Manual Allocation Program allows you to manually allocate the available quantities for each inventory item to specific sales or shop orders line items for the item, and to de-allocate inventory from sales and shop order line items that are already allocated to. It can be used to re-assign scarce inventory, and it can also be used to manually allocate safety stock quantities (the system will not automatically allocate inventory quantities that would result in the on hand dropping below the defined safety stock quantity for the item).
The Manual Allocation program will NOT allow you to de-allocate from or allocate to an order line that is currently printed.
The Manual Allocation program will also NOT allow you to allocate or de-allocate to sales or shop order lines for non-stock items (these items are always fully allocated to any shop or sales order lines that are entered for them).
