Create a New Revision of the current BOM

The Create a New Revision of the current BOM option can be accessed from the More Menu in the Bill of Materials Management program.  The Create a New Revision of the current BOM option allows you to select an existing Bill of Materials and to create a copy of the Bill of Materials, using the same top level item number.  This option allows you to create a new BOM version or revision for the top level item using the component information from the first BOM as a default.  When you select the Create a New Revision of the Current BOM option from the menu, the system copies the component and top level information from the current BOM into a new Bill of Materials and it assigns the new Bill the next available revision number for the top level item.  Once the new Bill of Materials revision has been created, you may modify the component information and comments for the Bill of Materials as required.
