Point of Sale New Customer Button

The The New Customer Button in the POS program allows you to access a customer setup program that contains a subset of the fields that are maintained in each customer record.  The operator can enter name, address, and telephone information for the new customer into the panel, and the system uses this information and the new record default information that you have specified for new customers, to create a new customer record.  The new customer can then be selected and used for a POS transaction.  The primary difference between the fast entry and the new customer button is that the new customer button allows you to use more advanced options such as address validation during the customer setup process.
