Selecting the BOM records to be displayed

When you select the Bill of Materials Management program from the Shop Floor or Product Management menu, the system activates the program and it loads the program with the Bills of Material that have been entered into your system.  When the program is selected from the menu, it will default to display all Bill of Material Header records with a status of A (Active) or S (Standby) and a BOM Type of A.  You can specify the Bill of Material status codes that should be displayed by the program using the check boxes located in the lower left corner of the program (under the “Show” label).  You can also specify the BOM Type to be displayed by the program using the BOM Type Selection Window that is also located in the lower section of the program.

The records that are displayed in the Bill of Materials program can be modified using the Status Checkboxes and the BOM Type Window that are located in the lower section of the program.

Show Checkboxes – Select Status to display

The Checkboxes that are located under the “Show” label in the lower left corner of the Bill of Materials Management program are used to select the Bills of Materials to be displayed by the program.  If a check is displayed in one or more of the status checkboxes, the selected status codes will be displayed by the program.  If a status checkbox is left blank, Bills of Materials with that status will not be displayed by the program.

BOM Type Window – Select Types to Display

The BOM Type Window allows you to select which Bill of Materials Types are displayed in the Bill of Materials Management program.  Allows you to select the BOM type to be displayed in the program.  When you press the User key, the system prompts you with the validation table used for the BOM Type field.  Once you have selected a valid BOM Type and have pressed Enter, the BOM Maintenance program displays only the BOM records that have the specified type.
