Status Radio Buttons

The Status Radio Buttons located in the lower left section of the Special Pricing Manager are used along with the special record type (and Customer or Buying group if applicable), to determine which special pricing records are displayed in the program.  The options that can be selected with the Radio Buttons include

Active – displays only the special price records which have a status of A or active, and which match the other selections that are being used by the program.  Active special pricing records are normally automatically used by the system if the order being entered qualifies for the price and the order is entered during the date range specified in the record.

Inactive - displays only the special price records which have a status of I or inactive, and which match the other selections that are being used by the program.  Inactive special pricing records are not automatically used by the Target Price Calculation and cannot be used during order processing.

Standby – displays only the special price records which have a status of S or Standby , and which match the other selections that are being used by the program.  Standby special price records are used when a special price is only available to the entity under certain conditions, like when the price depends on the Shipto company in the sales order instead of the Billto company in the sales order.  Standby special pricing records must normally be manually selected by the operator using “organic” intelligence, and are not automatically selected by the system (there are advanced options that allow the standby records to be treated as active in order to handle advanced pricing requirements as discussed in other sections of this document).

All – displays all special pricing records for the selected type and entity (customer or buying group), regardless of whether the status of the record is set to A,I, or S.
