The Tagged Serial Numbers option can be accessed from the More Menu or the Context (Right Mouse) Menu. The Tagged Serial Numbers option allows you to view and modify the serial numbers to be processed for the selected serialized Pending record. A single pending record can have a quantity greater than one, and when the Pending item being processed is serialized, the Tagged Serial Number option allows you to select the specific serial numbers that should be updated by each transaction.
You should specify the Quantity to Clear for the Pending records to be processed before you select the Tagged Serial Numbers option. If the Quantity to Clear has not been specified and you select the option, the system will display a “Select quantity to clear first” message. The Tagged Serial Numbers option will only be available when the selected pending record is for a Catlog item that is flagged as Serial Y (serialized) or Serial S (serialized on sale). If the selected pending record is not serialized the system will display a Not a serialized item message when you attempt to use the option.
Once you have selected and specified the Quantity to Clear for an open serialized pending record and have selected the Tagged Serial Numbers option, the system will activate the Serial Number List.
The Serial Number list is used in several places in the system to identify the serial numbers to be processed by a specific application. You may add serial number to the Serial List using the Find Serial# Button (which displays all serial numbers for the selected pending line and allows you to select from them). You may also remove serial numbers from the list by highlighting the serial number in the grid section of the program and using the Delete key to remove the serial number (this just removes the record from the list so that it does not get processed, - the serial number is still associated with the pending line item, and it can be processed at a later time (based on the serial status) .
The Serial List is described in detail in the documentation for the Serialized Inventory System and you may obtain more information about the program by accessing it and using the Help key to display the main application help for the program.
