Once an IFT PO has been saved and the IFT sales order has been automatically created by the system, you may check on the status of the IFT sales order in the following manner.
Select the Sales Order Inquiry program from the menu (you may also access the Sales Order Inquiry program from the Marketing screen).
FIND and select (highlight) the IFT Sales Order. You may locate an IFT sales order using any of the several different display sequences in the Sales Order Inquiry program. The Company sequence allows you to locate the order by using the IFT customer record which has been set up for the source location. The PO# sequence allows you to find the sales order using the IFT PO# that the order was created from, and the Order# sequence allows you to find the sales order based on the order number assigned by the system when the IFT PO was saved and the order was automatically created. Once you have located the correct IFT order you may select the order by highlighting it with the light bar.
View the sales order. Once you have highlighted the appropriate sales order you may view detailed sales order header or line item information as follows.
Viewing sales order line item detail. Once you have selected the appropriate sales order in the Sales Order Inquiry program, you may view the line items from the order by pressing the ENTER key. Additional detail for each line item can be displayed by highlighting the appropriate item and pressing the ENTER key again to display the Line Item Detail window. The detailed information which is available for each sales order line includes the status of the line item, the ordered and shipped quantity of each line item, the required and scheduled dates, for the item, and To Ship Quantity for each line (this is the amount of merchandise which is allocated to the sale order line and which is currently available to ship).
Viewing sales order header information. Once you have highlighted the appropriate sales order in the Sales Order Inquiry program you may view the header information for the sales order by pressing the EXPAND key to display the Sales Order Header Detail window. The sales order header information displayed in this window includes the default location that the sales order was placed from, the Ship To address for the sales order, the sales order status and type, the sales order currency, shipping method, payment terms, and shipment terms. The sales order, required date, order date, scheduled date, and cancel date are also displayed in the panel. If a shipment has been made against the sales order, the last invoice associated with the sales order will also be displayed in the window.
Viewing and/or editing IFT sales order comments. You may view and edit any header or line item comments that have been entered for the selected sales order in the Sales Order Inquiry program. You may also view the change comments for the sales order in the program. To view and/or edit either the header or the line item comments, select (highlight) the appropriate sales order in the Sales Order Inquiry program and press the ENTER key to display the line items for the sales order. Once the line items are displayed you may view or edit any header comments for the sales order by pressing the CTRL + D keys. To view or edit a line item comment, highlight the appropriate line item and press the CTRL + T keys. Once the comment is displayed you may view the comment and save any changes by keying in the appropriate information and pressing the SAVE key. To view the change comments which have been created by the system for the selected sales order you may press the CTRL + C keys. A change comment is created by the system each time an order is edited and it indicates the changes which were made to the order when it was edited.
