Converting a Sales Order to a Quote

The following steps can be used to convert a a Sales Order to a quote.  Note, you may only convert a sales order to a quote when the order is open, and the order has not had any shipment activity.  You may also not convert sales orders that contain vendor shipment, special order, or broker item lines as these lines may have purchase orders outstanding for them.

•      Select the Sales Order Management program from the Menu.

•      Find and select (highlight) the Sales Order to be converted.   You may locate sales orders in the Sales Order Management program using the order number, customer, shipto company or several other search options.

•      Press the Convert Type Button.  The system will convert the sales order to a quote and it will de-allocate any inventory that was assigned to the order.  The system will also reduce the reserved and total reserved quantities for the items included on the order.
