Quote Processing Overview
A Quotation is an order document that is used to provide a quote or a written estimate to a customer. Quotes are never processed by the system and they can never be completed. Quotes can be entered and printed and sent to the customer. If the customer decides to purchase some or all of the items listed on the quote, the quote can be converted to a sales order and it can be modified as required. If the customer decides not to purchase any of the items on the quote, the quote can be deleted (closed).
