Markup percentages can be defined for each of the freight codes in the system or globally using a system parameter.
The Markup percentages can be applied to freight methods or shipping methods that are automated (that calculate the shipping charges for the shipment automatically) and they can be applied to shipment methods where the shipping charges are manually entered.
Markup percentages are used only when
• The Order Type being invoiced is an S (a normal sales order).
• The Viaterms used for the order indicates that the customer should be charged shipping.
• No fixed shipping charge has been entered for the order during Order Entry or Editing.
