When you select the View POs option from the More or Context menu, the system activates the item PO Lookup program and it loads the program with the purchase order lines that have been created for the item in the selected PO Requisition.
The Item PO Lookup program displays the open and closed purchase order lines which have been placed for the selected inventory item in all inventory locations. The information which is displayed for each purchase order line in the Item PO Lookup program can be customized, but it normally includes the purchase order number, the inventory location from which the PO was placed, the quantity of the item that was ordered on the PO and the quantity received against the PO. The date on which the purchase order was placed and the date on which the item is promised or due to be received is also displayed.
The Item PO Lookup program also allows you to
• Access the detailed information that is stored in each purchase order line displayed in the program
• Access the detailed information that is stored in the Purchase Order Headers that are associated with each purchase order line displayed in the program.
• View the Receiving Transactions that have been recorded against each purchase order line displayed in the program.
• Access the Field Level Help for the fields that are displayed in the program. The Column Help option in the Item PO Lookup can be used to display the database definitions for the fields that are displayed in the program (and for all other files and fields in the system).
