Data File Level Security
StreamV allows you to restrict the ability of specific operators, groups or branches to update records in specific master data files. This option can be used to prevent specific users from creating, deleting, or editing records in specific files. It is generally used to handle situations where some operators need to be able to view certain records – such as customers or vendors, but not create new records in the same program. This is a somewhat advanced option that should be used carefully as it will block new records from being created in some files.
