In the current StreamV revision, the Vendor Manager is used to create and edit vendor records. The Vendor Manager is a form based view program and it uses slightly different file security logic to control who can create new vendor records
A system policy DDNEW80 is used to determine if the operator is allowed to save new records in the Vendor file. If the switch is set to Y, or is blank or missing, the operator may save new vendor records in the program, if the policy is set to N, the operator may not save new records to the file and will receive an error if they attempt to do so. The policy can be set on a global, group, branch or user level as required.
